Currituck Bridge Update

For vacationers and homeowners in Southern Shores to Corolla the number one real estate question we seem to receive is “Is the Currituck Bridge ever going to be built”? I have homeowners who are convinced construction is starting next year so they are holding off on selling. Yet others say they’ve heard about the bridge since the late 80’s and they don’t think anything has changed. What has changed is that NCDOT has approved the bridge and it is included in the budget. But as we saw with the Bonner Bridge heading to Hatteras Island we know that many obstacles still have to be cleared before the bridge is built.
